I've traveled to St Martin / Sint Maarten Four times so far and absolutely Love IT !!. Here's A Really Great Quality Map.. or for those who want a more Scientific Live Time Interactive Weather Oriented View, and also a Satellite Weather Map I've stayed at resorts on both sides of the island, from Pelican, to Grand Case Beach Club, and the fabulous Esmerelda on Orient Bay ...On My most recent visit I enjoyed the Creole Hospitality of Pt Plaisance... A Condo Style Ultra 5star Moor-in escape..the View of Pic Pardise was breathtaking..I even climbed to the summit several times to enjoy the lovely view of both sides of the Caribbean..all the way to Puerto Rico's East Coastline. My first visit to Sint Maarten, was via Ship on the Starward of NCL..; Take a Look at who Sails to Which Islands here in our Discount Cruise Lines Index; I took the Tour of Two countries, and felt for the $20.00 it gave me a very good overview of both countries, wetting my appetite for wonderful Antillian and Creole Culture that I enjoyed when visiting and and then shopping at the DutyFree Markets in Phillipsburg and Marigot

Making Friends in St Martin was so easy for me; I stopped at a roadside Juice bar and Met the proprietor, who then invited me in for a Traditional Vegeterian Ital Dinner; When we finished the Creole Feast , We sat outside in the back of His House in Low-Town, on the waterside and watched the Sun Duckdown onto the Water and turn into a Gigantic RedBall;

I literally ate my way around the entire island in a several day long trek, that took me from the Maho Bay Resort Cheri's Patio Grill..to the Jerk Shack in Lowtown, and then over to the very tasty Vietnamese restaurant near the first of a long series of Speed Bumps near the Soccer Oval; Onward thru Marigot's Chic Harborside Bistro's, which are quite often Prix Fix $$$ and into the Cullianiares playground, Grand Case..the Riefstable in Phillipsburg was as wonderful as the one I enjoyed this past fall in Amsterdam; and to top it all off my Favorite Restaurant on the entire Island is the Seaside Karoke Palace "The Pink Pearl", beside Phillipsburg's Oldest Church, very convenient for lunch when hustling from Duty Free Jeweler to Electronics, and Haberdashers; the wonderful accessories that I found, Scarves, Earrings, Bracelets, and Shoes..yes the best of Europe There Today, while America still waits months for the trendy "must-haves"; My Recommendation, Go To ST Martin / Sint Maarten durring Carnival in April and enjoy lower accomodations rates, great weather, and the best spring holiday ever..
