I'm Reality Ausetkmt - also
known as Mama ASID.
I'm a Streaming Radiostation Owner;
Worldbeat and Reggae Radio Personality; News Talk Radioshow
Host; Professional Blogger; Music Producer; Journalist;
Photographer; Website Designer; and Proud
Entrepreneur.
My company is called Trenchtones.com. we
specialize in promotions for Reggae and Spokenword genres'.
our success is measured in hits perday to multiple global
websites for over 15 years. we started as a soundgal and now
we make the sound.
I'm the Vice President of
MusicalAmbassador.com and Musical Ambassador Records - the
home of foundation reggae.
My Official Duties to
Musical Ambassador include Promotions and Artist Development.
In addition I am the webmistress for the company radio station
- FoundationSound.co.uk. we host some of the finest foundation
sound music and quality reggae entertainment on the internet -
24 hours a day; 7 days a week.
Being a producer doesn't
stop with my webmistress duties; because someone always needs
an interview. there are blogs to write. photos essays to
construct. artists to interview. but above all else I spend
the majority of my time as the Station Manager for
BadGalsRadio.com. we produce several popular longstanding
podcasts on Reggae and World Politics.
I'm also the
owner of Ausetkmt.com. the sponsor of the Realities Groups on
Yahoogroups.com. we began our groups in October of 1995; at
the calling of Min. Louis Farrakhan during the Million Man
March. He called for a diasporic dialog to begin and to
continue, in hopes of offering a think tank of sorts to our
communities globally. we host Thinktank; Historynotes-l;
Yorubalife-l; Club-Blackweb; Afrospirit; and
Cigarboxpurseparts. each group offers a creative focus for
discussing our issues.
My Title as First Empress of
ASID Hi-Power Soundsystem in historic. I am the first woman to
play as head selecta in a traditional six generation male
Jamaican Reggae Soundsystem. This historic appointment by Papa
ASID in 1999, breaks the stereotypical rolemodel for
soundsystems - and expands the universe of reggae to include
the views of the women, and mothers who created reggae and
nurture it to this day.
