Old Fire Stick Easy Fe Catch, so goes the reggae anthem, and I have to testify to that fact.
it was an intense and testing experience to face my biggest
temptation,
and not crumble in public, to others watching,, calmly.
it was as though history was repeating itself,
and I was again feeling
the warmth that comes from familiarity,
on an intimate level.
We Know Each Other.. in all terms.
We've shared the deepest form of communication, Creation.
You were the Father of My Child,
and I the Mother, of the
baby who became an angel.
Our love lay in disarray,
along with a hodge podge of emotions,
grief, shame, pain, disgust, anger,..
too many to explore at once.
All of them Volatile in any combination,
thereby causing the big
boom ending our relationship.
I've Loved You, like no one else,
because of your way of
relating to me.
soft spoken, forceful, emotional and private.
exactly what I wanted, but not you..
I ran away crying, bleeding wounded.
hoping to find solace
and a chance to start over,
letting go of the pain.
but it didn't happen.
I wandered into a situation which
to this day still plagues me,
and causes me to tremble.
If I could have only convinced you of how much I needed
your love,
maybe today, we would not be so sad when we
see each other,
and share that emotional void that belongs
to only you and I.

Yes Mi Deah, Still Easy
