destination, Nice France
- located on the world famous French Riveria's Cote d'Azur. I planned a
great short jaunt recently for a small group of women who wanted to do it fast
and fun, and spend just enough to live like jetsetters during
Easter weekend
March 25 - 29, 1999.
their itinerary is simply elegant, but in my view quite the European
Tropical Holiday. They fly into Nice Cote
d' Azur aeroport, take private transport to the promenade des Anglais by the
sea, where they will enjoy the sumptuous suite accomodations of the Newest hotel
in Nice,
by the sea. The Hotel Beau-Rivage - a four star boutique property, Intimate but
close to the action in Nice.
The women wanted to see just a few things compiled into their short 4 day
holiday, including the Palaces of
Monaco;and the beautiful Views of the Cote'Azure, from Monte Carlo to San Tropez. on short notice there
aren't many choices so we jumped into action, and contacted our friend Bijou, at
the French Tourism Office. She
refered us to the Nice CVB and our
newest Buddy Sonia. Sonia knew Judith at Eden Tours in Nice.
Wow !!! Woman Power..
The fun begins with R/T transfers with an english speaking driver and a Nice Attendant, who will greet them at the Cote` Azure aeroport in Nice. Yes someone, friendly, english speaking, and with a sign with the name of their group, greets them, making it even more auspicious. And so begins the Joi De Vivre', with a short tour of Nice enroute to their Hotel.
The First of two custom designed tours for this group, begins with a half day english speaking tour for 6. They Travel with their English speaking guide and driver by van from their hotel in Nice, East along the Southern coast stopping enroute at small villages and the sea wall for views of Nice from the coastline. the Women wanted to do a little shopping so we suggested venturing into the Perfumerys enroute to Monaco, which we added to the list of 2 other short market stops, on this half day tour. the 9am tour includes a view of the Changing of the Guards at the Palace in Monaco; wow shopping and Royalty Too !!!
The Second is a grand fullday Provence excursion from Nice to San Tropez. They depart at 9am with their english speaking guide and driver, traveling along the Cote d' Azure from Nice to several winerys where they will drink wine, along with french bread and cheeses; all the way from Cannes' to San Tropez. In San Tropez the travelers will embark on a Lunch D'Jour on the Famous Beach, with time to take in the sun, fun and a delicious french seaside lunch. Arriving back at their hotel into Nice at 6pm our travelers will have plenty of time to dress for an elegant dinner at one of the local hotspots, sure to be jammed with easter holiday travelers.
