Yes it's christmas time again, and folks are rushing around, Champagne corks flying off into the air, and Hurricanes on trays fill the hands of overworked and under appreciated holiday helpers, praying for all this Christ-Mess to be over, as I jokingly heard one of the Valet Parkers say, "in the Wink of an Eye". HA ! Only in Nola I think..

Everyone Rushing Around, in that abreviated holiday blur, that stands for cheer.. but is really just the normal contrived operation of the Big Easy, Hurry Up and Chill Out.. Shooooooww..

I'm visiting the New Outerlimits, and not really a passenger either, but an outsider attempting to get a birds eye view of the whole contrived process, the Second Line to the Last Reality, which is hidden under superstitions like Christ-Mess, in Nola, and why the toilets keep backin up in Metarie, but not in the Marginy.

I think to myself, "Christ-Mess", lawd, how them boys keep they snarls on so deep all day, flashin all that 10karat welfare gold that glitters like the Multicolored Tourists decorating the coffers of the French Quarter.

Yes, they forgot all about Jesus., but how ?

it's the celebration of His Birth Right ?

not at the HOB, where Toni, Tony Tone blast it out, "Feel Good, Yeah, You Feel Good" to the rafter packed crowd. Where just the night before there was a loud Neville Brothers Prayer Session to Usher in the "Christ-Mess" Season, in Nola, party capitol of the globe. a place where even Santa gets a Handout.

Rowdiness is the order of the day, and folks are becomming more of who they really are..

"Hey Lady, Will You Buy Me a Drink, how bout some Cigarettes, Pleaseee Lady ",

"Hey Lady, Can You Buy Me Some Dinner, I don't have any money, but Emerils is having a special tonight.."

Christ-mess, Jesus Christ, Have they forgotten who's day this really is ?

and I ain't even a Christian, and I Know.
